The Africa Wide Civil Society Network on Inclusive Reintegration and Community Based Peace Building Strategies
This network was conceptualized in 2018 by leading peace and security practitioners from African Civil Society Organizations that were convened by the UNDP and the Elman Peace Centre
. At the first ever regional symposium for and by Civil Society Organizations working on inclusive reintegration in recent conflicts; the network envisioned to create stronger societal alliances, enhance cooperation and cement the central role of civil society organizations in achieving peace and development in areas of protracted conflict, was soft launched in Kigali, Rwanda.
The network supports Civil Society Organizations eager to expand their capacities by connecting them with global field experts, creates space for organizations to share their knowledge on a peer-to-peer basis and spotlights their best practices to position them strategically to influence policy developments at the national and regional levels.
