L’Association pour l’Action Humanitaire et le Développement Durable (ACHDR) est une Organisation Non Gouvernementale (ONG) de droit Tchadien créée en 2014 à Goz-Beida dans la Région de Sila (zone frontalière avec le Soudan/Darfour) à la suite d’une réflexion approfondie entamée par les cadres Tchadiens ayant diverses expériences en matière de gestion des urgences et des actions de développement dans le but d’impulser un changement social et économique au Tchad en général et à l’Est du pays en particulier. Elle a bénéficié d’une double reconnaissance comme une ONG Nationale. D’abord par la Direction des ONG en 2016 puis par le Ministère de l’Economie et de la Planification du Développement en 2019, au regard des résultats tangibles qu’elle a généré sur le terrain grâce à l’appui technique et financier de plusieurs partenaires notamment, le Gouvernement de la République du Tchad à travers ses Ministères sectoriels, les Agences du Système des Nations Unies, les ONG Internationales et Nationales. ACHDR œuvre pour un Tchad dans lequel les hommes et les femmes de différents horizons vit en harmonie, à l’abri de toutes les formes des conflits humains et des catastrophes naturelles et s’acceptent mutuellement dans le respect de leurs différences ethniques, culturelles et religieuses. Sa ùission est de réhabiliter les personnes affectées par les conflits et les catastrophes à travers le renforcement de leurs capacités techniques et organisationnelles ainsi que le développement des actions de résilience en mettant un accent particulier sur les stratégies de plaidoyer et de lobbying. Elle vise globalement à prevenir les conflits et consolider la paix partout au Tchad. Plus spécifiquement, elle s’engage à apporter une assistance humanitaire de qualité aux populations affectées par les crises humaines et catastrophes naturelles ; Initier et soutenir les initiatives contribuant au renforcement de la résilience des communautés et au développement local ; renforcer l’apprentissage et la vulgarisation de bonnes pratiques en lien avec les questions de prévention des conflits et la consolidation de la paix.

Mrs. Hurera Atta is the Assistant Executive Director and Head of Education at Neem Foundation. A devoted advocate of human rights, civil liberties, and education – especially for girls from disadvantaged backgrounds – Mrs. Atta has built a legal and corporate career spanning over 25 years. As a lawyer, she handled high-profile and controversial human rights cases, representing young at-risk women. In her capacity as General Manager at Allan Woods Limited, she oversaw and spearheaded the development of the educational institution to bridge the gap in the area of professional development for Nigerian professionals.
Dr. Abiye M. Iruayenema is an expert sociocognitive research psychologist and strategic communications specialist. He is currently heads a mobile counselling and preventing violent extremism (PVE) initiative, which offers counselling in hard-to-reach traumatized communities in Maiduguri, Borno State. As an experienced academic and researcher, Dr. Iruayenama created vulnerability and needs assessments tools used for a UNICEF funded rehabilitation and reintegration programme for 1,500 Children Associated with Armed Groups. He has delivered several trainings revolving around self-care for humanitarian aid workers, social and emotional learning, as well as addressing psychological trauma in conflict zones.
